What's wrong with my A/C now?

I recently replaced my compressor and thermostat on my 6 year old unit. (Compressor died due to faulty thermostat) I keep the temp @ 76F and it today over the past few hours it has crept up to 79F. The temp outside is 93F. Is it just the hot weather making it warmer or is something else wrong?
