Will inhaling paint fumes hurt my fetus?
At work we are moving to a new office. I am 32 weeks pregnant. I had to be at the new office to get internet and phones working. I was there from 1-4. The maintenance guy was still painting when I was in there. The smell was the strongest paint fumes I have EVER smelled. The fumes were terrible. I kept going out side, but it was high 90's today. I would say that I spent at least and hour and a half in that office with the fumes. Now that I am home, it feels funny to breathe. My chest feels funny. I can still smell it even though I have changed my clothes and taken a shower. I feel sick. I called my doctor's office but the nurse wouldn't give me a clear answer as to the danger to my baby. Does anyone know if just an hour and a half worth of exposure can harm my baby? I know long term isn't good...but I am feeling so sick right now I'm really worried.
