My Yahoo toolbar keeps disappearing?

I have the bar at the top of my screen where it normally is, but it's completely empty. I normally have buttons for Facebook, YA, the weather, and the purple Yahoo button at the beginning of the toolbar but there is nothing but a cross on the far left. No setting button on the right, either. Just a long, blank space where the buttons should all be. This is the third time this has happened, I keep having to uninstall and then reinstall the toolbar but it's getting on my nerves. What's wrong?
