Pro-life people: why do you think this way?

Why do you qualify even a zygote or fetus as a "person", when for example it is not considered carpooling if a pregnant woman is driving alone? Why are you so concerned with another woman's business when you won't be the one to care for the child? (this does not include expectant fathers, that is an entirely different issue)
