Should I buy a 98 mustang gt as my first car?

Hello everyone, I was browsing the internet for a new car and came across a 98 gt for 2600 with 179,000 miles. It looks great in the pictures with minor flaws like headlight weather stripping, a few dents and needs the hood latch to be fixed. Oh and the guy says maybe a paint job but it looks good as is. but for 2600 who's complaining? Anyways, I'm going to look at it tomorrow and I was wondering if its even worth my time? looks like a great first car especially because I want something I can fix up a little because I have a lot of free time right now. But, the mileage is a little iffy to me. 179,000 is quite a lot for a mustang. and its a 98. If I go look at it tomorrow is there anything I should be aware of? I'm no genius at cars but I'm also not a dummy. Anything?
